The Garden Street Transitional
Home provides a structured, sober living environment with
supportive services for homeless men who have recently been
released from prison.
We serve our residents by:
- Designing transitional plans to meet
their needs
- Helping them find full time employment
- Referring them to appropriate agencies,
including mental health services, GED programs and vocational
training classes
- Requiring them to attend four weekly
support group meetings and giving them a weekly sobriety
test
- Teaching them life skills such as budgeting,
shopping, cooking and personal care
- Assisting residents when the time comes
to find permanent housing
